ABOUT

Stacy Smith is a life-long Alaskan with over 25 years experience working in multimedia, print design, technical writing, editing, and research. She holds a BS in Health Promotion and an MFA in Creative Writing and Literary Arts. Stacy is creative, thorough, and highly detailed. She has edited and designed a wide variety of professional publications—from books and technical reports to creative works, newsletters, programs, brochures, posters, flyers, and ads. She is a published fiction writer, with stories published in literary magazines such as Gulf Coast, Third Coast, and Primavera.

In addition, Stacy is Affiliate Editor of the highly acclaimed literary magazine Alaska Quarterly Review, a Regional Director in the North American Flyball Association, and founder and co-leader of Alaska Dogs Gone Wild flyball club.

Some of her passions include dog sports, Uechi-ryu karate (3rd degree black belt), reading, weightlifting, and hiking in the great Alaskan wilderness. She lives in Anchorage, Alaska with her husband, two kids, and four dogs.
